By senior year at Freedom High, he was considered one of the best defensive tackles in Pennsylvania. He was scouted by Dennis Erickson, the head coach at the University of Miami and offered a four-year football scholarship with the Miami Hurricanes. As a defensive tackle, he won a National Championship with Miami in 1991. After his graduation at Miami, he signed a contract with the CFL team, Calgary Stampede. A back injury ended any NFL aspirations.

8 Tattoos

Dwayne has two tatoos, one on his right arm of a Brahma Bull that represents his sign of the zodiac which is Taurus the Bull and also he has an affinity for bulls. His most recent tattoo extends from his left shoulder blade, and midway his left arm. It is a Samoan tattoo that he had done in Hawaii sometime in 2003 by Pau Leeno(sp?), a samoan tattooist. It took between 15-20 hours to have done and according to Dwayne, when you get a tattoo like this, it tells the story of his life and what he represents, what's important in his life from strength to protection to loyalty to family.
