Southland Tales
::Premise: Set in the futuristic landscape of Los Angeles on July 4, 2008, the city stands on the brink of social, economic and environmental disaster. An action-movie star, Boxer Santaros, with amnesia (Dwayne Johnson) crosses paths with adult film star, Krysta Now, (Sarah Michelle Gellar), who is developing a reality TV project, and a Hermosa Beach police officer, David Scott, (Seann William Scott), who holds the key to a vast conspiracy.

Southland Tales is one of the 19 films featured at the Cannes Film Festival running from May 17-28. It will be in competition for the Palme d’or or Golden Palm award....

Principal photography began on August 15 in Los Angeles....Filming wrapped in September and is currently prepared to be shown at the Cannes Film Festival on May 21.......Moby is composing the music for the film

In addition to the feature film, an expanded version of Southland Tales will be presented as a nine-part interactive experience with the prequel saga to be published as six separate 100 page graphic novels, each written by Kelly. The graphic novels will be released over a six month period beginning in May and leading up to the film's release with the feature film comprised of the story's final three chapters. In addition, the film's official website will be one of the largest and most elaborate ever designed for a feature film.

Southland Tales received alot of negative reviews at the Cannes Film Festival and was basically panned. It has been said that the movie will be re-edited and recut and possibly submitted for the Toronto Film Festival in September....
